By downloading, installing, or using Hifzul Quran ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Hifzul Quran is a Quran memorisation application that provides:

• Progress tracking, streaks, and gamification features
• Cloud sync across devices

3. Account Registration

3.1 Account Creation

• You must sign in using Apple Sign-In to create an account
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the App
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account

3.2 Account Accuracy

• You agree to provide accurate information during onboarding
• You may update your profile information at any time through Settings

3.3 Account Termination

• You may delete your account at any time from Settings
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
• Upon deletion, your data will be removed within 90 days per our Privacy Policy

4. Quran Content

4.1 Source & Attribution

• Quran text is sourced from the Uthmani script edition via AlQuran.cloud API
• Translations are provided by Sahih International and other credited translators
• Audio recitations are provided by licensed reciters via EveryAyah.com

4.2 Accuracy

We strive to present the Quran text accurately. However, the App is a learning aid and should not be considered a replacement for learning from a qualified teacher. If you discover any textual errors, please report them immediately to [YOUR EMAIL].

5. Voice Recording Features

5.1 Consent

• Voice-based features require your explicit consent before activation
• You may revoke consent and disable voice features at any time

5.2 Processing

• Voice recordings are used solely to provide recitation feedback
• On-device processing is used where possible to minimise data transmission
• Cloud-processed recordings are immediately deleted after transcription
• We do not permanently store your voice recordings

5.3 Limitations

• Voice feedback is AI-generated and may contain inaccuracies
• Voice feedback is not a substitute for learning from a qualified Quran teacher
• Free tier users are limited to 20 ayahs per day of voice-based practice

6. Subscriptions & Payments

6.1 Free Tier

The free tier of Hifzul Quran includes:

• Full Quran library access (reading, audio playback)
• Basic memorisation with spaced repetition
• Progress tracking and streaks
• Limited voice feedback (20 ayahs/day)

6.2 Premium Subscription

Premium features (when available) may include:

• Unlimited voice feedback
• Advanced AI coaching
• Detailed analytics and insights
• Priority cloud processing

6.3 Billing

• Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
• You can manage subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings
• Refunds are handled by Apple per their refund policy

6.4 Price Changes

• We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice
• Price changes do not affect the current billing period

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App to distribute, reproduce, or commercially exploit Quran audio recordings
• Attempt to access other users' data or accounts
• Use automated tools to scrape data from the App
• Manipulate streak, progress, or leaderboard data
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Upload or transmit malicious code or content

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 App Ownership

• The App's design, code, features, and branding are owned by [YOUR LEGAL ENTITY]
• You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App

8.2 Quran Content

• The Quran is the word of Allah and is not subject to copyright
• Translations, tafsir, and audio recordings may be subject to their respective creators' rights

8.3 User Content

• Memorisation progress, notes, and settings data remain your property
• You grant us a limited license to store and process this data to provide the service

• Hifzul Quran is a learning aid, not a replacement for a qualified Quran teacher
• AI-generated pronunciation feedback may contain errors
• We do not guarantee memorisation outcomes or timelines

9.3 Availability

• We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access
• The App functions offline, but some features require an internet connection

• Supabase — data hosting
• AlQuran.cloud — Quran data API
• EveryAyah.com — audio content
• RevenueCat — subscription management

We are not responsible for third-party service availability or terms changes.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [YOUR JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict of law principles.
